The new OnePlus 11 phone was designed to last four years. To prove it, we sent it four years into the future with a time machine called J.E.F.F.
J.E.F.F. (Jumping Eleven Forward into the Future) was a bespoke installation designed and built by renowned Dutch artist Job Smeets and his atelier Studio Job. My part in the story was making sure all screens and mini computers were automated, buttons worked, and LEDs flashed when they should. In short: all the technical stuff.
Our time machine aged the OnePlus 11 four years into the future with endless scrolling, constant updates, hundreds of charges, and app use—to prove not only that it can last, but that it retains a fast and smooth experience years later.
