Synchronized outdoor projection systems transformed Amsterdam’s canals and waterfront into cinematic stages for upcoming Netflix releases.
For upcoming Netflix releases, a network of projection systems transformed Amsterdam’s canals into a moving cinematic stage. Multiple projectors cast precisely sequenced content onto large PepperScrim screens mounted above boats travelling through the city.
Every scene was composed and recorded for the shifting sightlines between vessels, allowing one projection boat to reveal its imagery to audiences watching from another. A single custom wireless remote unit coordinated playback and control across the fleet.
The project extended beyond the canals to Amsterdam’s IJ, where a massive water-screen projection brought the campaign to open water at an entirely different scale.
