If you missed the beginnings of this brilliant German division, here is the story. A collective of underground activists specialising in party organisation since 1996, Kommando 6 launched its own label in 2000 to promote Augsburg’s local electro scene. In 2003 the structure opened its doors to international producers, welcoming Le Syndicat Electronique, Orgue Electronique, and Legowelt’s syncopated works, to name a few.

With Dark Beat Detector, the label reached a new level by presenting the dark electro movement in its most diverse forms—from punk and minimal to break, downtempo, ambient, hard, pop, and dancefloor registers. The ten-track compilation features Scape One, Luke Eargoggle, Ra-X, Manasyt, Code, Elec Pt1, Alex Nôrinh, Zwart Licht Kommando, Detox, and Radikale Analog Fraktion.
