EUV Challenge
Extreme engineering
A twin-computer arcade installation built with Node.js and NVIDIA Jetsons, turning EUV engineering into a hands-on team challenge.

The EUV Challenge, codename “Laserbox”, was designed, built, and coded in our office in Amsterdam. The Laserbox consisted of a base and remote part, both with a complete computer system based on Node.js and running on NVIDIA Jetsons. The arcade was then shipped to the US and built into a large truck used to visit universities throughout the country.
ASML’s EUV Challenge gives individuals a taste of what it is like to be an engineer at ASML. Working in teams, they steer light through an extreme ultraviolet lithography machine by adjusting mirrors. The goal is to get the high score—and, in the process, learn about ASML, lithography, and its cutting-edge technology.
